A Cinematic Opera in Three Acts

AMEN is a cinematic crossover opera in three acts, bringing together symphony orchestra, operatic voices, choir, dance and cinematic visuals. It is not only a story about one nation — it is a reflection on human civilization itself. The opera explores how collective memory carries the experience of creation, belief, destruction and rebirth. Through this journey, the audience witnesses a contemporary epic of memory, loss and renewal.

The Story

Humanity is presented as a single living organism,
carrying within it the memory of past events — both luminous and tragic.

This memory is not only history.
It is a warning, a lesson, and a source of renewal.

Through symbolism, music, and visual imagery, AMEN transforms
the story of the Armenian people into a universal epic about survival and spiritual continuity.

At the center of the narrative are archetypal figures:
The Father — creator, protector, force
The Mother — life, beauty, love

Together they represent the origin and continuity of humanity.

The story begins at the dawn of time. A land near the mountains of Ararat becomes the cradle of a people who create, love and dream. The Tree of Life emerges as the central symbol — a source of wisdom, strength and continuity.

The act evokes the birth of civilization, harmony with nature, and the emergence of culture and belief. The arrival of Christianity introduces a new dimension: light becomes a spiritual force capable of transforming human existence.
